Podupu turns a photo of a medical receipt into a tracked, reimbursement-ready record. Snap a picture, and Podupu reads the provider, service date, and total, then classifies each line item against your HSA, FSA, and LPFSA rules — so you know at a glance what's eligible, what still needs a look, and what's worth claiming.
Every receipt stays organized by household, not just by account, so a couple or family can track spending together. Claims move through a clear lifecycle — captured, ready to claim, submitted, reimbursed — instead of getting lost in a drawer of paper receipts or a spreadsheet nobody remembers to update.
The goal is simple: stop leaving benefit dollars on the table because a receipt was forgotten, misfiled, or never converted into a claim.
Podupu started as a simple frustration: HSA and FSA dollars are easy to earn and surprisingly easy to lose track of. Suman Bukka and Manasa Mukka built Podupu to solve that for themselves first, and are sharing it because the same problem shows up in a lot of households. We're driven by finding practical solutions to real, everyday challenges.
The name comes from Telugu — Suman's mother tongue — where “podupu” means “savings.”

The last few weeks brought steady improvements across the app: cleaner receipt totals, more accurate duplicate and claim-date detection, and a simplified dashboard. Sign-in and notification emails are faster and more secure, and receipt filtering now works correctly across your full history. We're actively refining Podupu based on real usage, with performance and reliability improvements shipping regularly.
